High-quality cotton has a long durability, which makes it less prone to breakage or accidental tears. Just like the rest of natural materials, it can shrink when exposed to high temperatures. So to wash a cotton garment, cold water should be used and avoid using a lot of detergents (ENG) since it can affect the durability of the material.
